I know a lot of people doing applying through HCMC for soft power visa have had some trouble, so I'll post my update.
After I submitted my initial application with all of my documents, I got a request for further documentation 2 days later. They were asking for proof of income.
I then submitted a letter explaining that my application was for soft power activities (muay thai training), and that I was unemployed. I confirmed that I will not be working in Thailand. I also included 6 months from statements from my brokerage account and my Neo bank account, to explain that this is where the recent lump sum of money into my bank account came from, and also this is where I would gather funds from to pay for any other large unexpected expenses.
I then got approval for my visa 2 days later, and now I have the 5 year DTV. The only thing is that they made a remark on the acceptance saying employment prohibited ; I'm not sure if it's normal or important, but I don't think it will matter anyways since I don't plan to be employed in Thailand
Applied for soft power through Muay Thai and as unemployed, They are now requesting additional documents for proof of monthly income. The 6 months of bank statements I had already supply show proof of capital to support any one well beyond 5 years. Any one else come across this and have advise?
Hello, I am a self-employed trader on the financial markets. Is there a way for a DTV visa application to be accepted ? I have comfortable funds but no business
Wondering what the most up to date information is on applying with soft power invitation, not employment, from a neighbouring country of Thailand, (recommendations welcome)
is it a requirement to have had a certain income in the past 3-6 months, or just the required money in the bank proven by current bank statement? I’m trying to work out if it’s worth me applying and if I can qualify. Advice appreciated 🙏
Sorry to bother you - leave the day after tomorrow and only question I have is when it comes to showing where you stay in Thailand - I have my contact info of staying for a 6m contract (in total before applying 6m - came back in august) so I have the contract but no idea which section to upload too. can you let me know? Sent a screen shot below
Only issue I have. Everything else I think I have! ❤️❤️ I’m applying under the soft power visa in Hanoi, Vietnam!
Thanks everyone again for all the amazing support! I love that we help eachother and thanks so much for letting me know this asap!!
All the best to the rest of you and will update once I get it and exactly what I did based on what I was told! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Husband and I (separate applications) both just rejected in HCMC, both soft power, both with Discover Thai Nature seminar. Spoke with the owner there who says the seminar has been getting rejected in several places, but was just accepted in Manila and Germany. All that said, does anyone have any first hand experience of rejection in one city, but applying in another?
Applied via softpower in HCM. They are requesting for proof of income. I thought they dont check for proof of income for softpower?? I did muay thai btw
I’m looking to move to Thailand but unsure what Visa to go with. I’m 100% disabled and don’t work. So I’m unsure if I would qualify for DTV. I meet the other requirements. I could start freelancing but idk how long of a work history I need to show.
