I am here in Thailand on Visa exempt. I cannot get a bank account as tourist, but I cannot get Non-O Immigrant Visa without a bank account! I meet qualifications for Retirement Visa. I have a lease through early July In Karon Beach Phuket.
Is there any way I can get the Non-O without returning to USA?
Hi my friend had trouble coming in, he had hassle at airport immigration saying he had come back too quick . He flew to uk after stayin in Thailand for 90 days from sept to December then he flew back on 16 January after more than a month at home. The officer gave him a real hard time , to the point he thought he was getting refused entry. He wants to extend his 60 day tourist entry to 90 like he did last time but his fear is the immigration officer said she had put a note on his file. Do you think an agent would be able to get information on what was put on the file, he’s terrified to go to immigration to try extend and get refused . This is only his second visit , he hast been to Thailand since covid and even then only came for a 30 day visit. Any suggestions, he is not a con man just wanting to have nice longer holiday with new friends he has met. What would be cost for an agent to do 30 day extension? And do you think they can access what has been put in his file by airport immigration? Thanks in advance
When i arrive at DMK next week and get a 60 day VOA and extend another 30. Can I do a border run say to Laos by land crossing, stay a few weeks for sightseeing then return to Thailand and get another 60 days VOA and extend another 30 days.
Fly to Bali and back to Thailand and get another 60 days plus 30 or is that pushing it?
New 60 day on arrival visa, arrived in November on 60 day tourist visa and got 30 day extension at Buriram, went to Vietnam for a week, arrived back in Bangkok and they would not let me back in the Kingdom, said I was staying too long, put me in a room with a bunch of Africans, luckily my partner of 5 years was with me and she had to sign a form and after an hour I was allowed in, I thought that I had followed the rules to the letter, I think that in future I will get the 6 month multi entry tourist visa, my girlfriend has a 5 year visitor visa for England and we spend 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in England, just a warning for people here on the 60 day tourist visa I would do a road visa run to Cambodia and avoid the main airport.
I am an Indian national, married to Thai wife. I entered Thailand through Bangkok airport immigrations on 60 days visa free entry. I am living in a village called Pasang, in Phayao District. My wife just called the Phayao Immigrations office to check about the additional 30 days extention, as we just had a baby girl 4 days ago. The immigration office straightaway refused. They say 30 days extension not available for Indian nationals, and that I should exit and re-enter to get another 60 days visa free entry. Is there any Indian national here who has received the 30 days extension..? The process is so confusing. Each immigration location tells a different story. Seems there are different rules for different nationalities. Wonder if they have a uniform process, or it works on their wimms & fancies..!!
Good afternoon. I'm arriving into BKK next week. 2 months VISA exempt. Last time I flew from Paris, they wanted proof of return ticket. I haven't got one as I intend to visit Laos, Vietnam as well and then return to Thailand. I've already booked accommodation in laos before my 60 days is up. Foes anyone know if I show proof of this whether airlines accept it. Air india this time
I intend to visit (visa exempt) for 45-55 days before leaving to Laos or Vietnam. Flying in from Aus. Given I'm not sure when I'll leave Thailand (definitely before the 60 days though) will I need an onward ticket of some sort? Potentially for both the Airline (Jetstar) or Thai immigration or both? Feel like I'll leave Thailand from Nong Kai by land rather than fly, although nothing is concrete atm. Help appreciated.
I currently have the Visa on Arrival stamp and can stay in Thailand until March 11. However, I will be traveling to Vietnam for 10 days in early February to apply for the DTV visa. What happens if the visa application is denied and I have to return to Thailand? Can I still stay until March 11? Technically, I’ve already used up my allowed days with the tourist visa since I was here for 90 days before. But first I need to go back to my condo in case I have to leave... 😬
