Has anyone successfully obtained a residency certificate in Bangkok without completing the 90-day check? I need it to register a car, but I haven’t been in Thailand long enough to meet the 90-day reporting requirement.
If anyone has experience with this or knows of a visa agent who can handle the process, I’d appreciate any recommendations.
I’ll probably need to buy car and I’m completely lost with all info I find online, so simple question :
Is it easier to convert my Driver licence to a Thai one in Hua Hin or in BKK (or other city?)
Do I need a residence certificate or is it only for buying the car ? Since I’m about to leave the place I rent I don’t know if it’s worth it to ask now.
Does anyone have experience registering a car in your name while on the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)?
I’d love to hear about the process, any challenges, or specific requirements for foreigners with this visa. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I need to get two proof of residence certificates at Thai Immigration (one each for driving license address change and new car registration). I live in Bangkok but have no 90-day report receipt as I just reentered from abroad (so have date of entry stamp in passport instead) and wondered if this service is back at Chiengwattana (the last time they sent me to Impact and they insisted they would not give me one without a current 90 day report certificate.)
Thanks if you can point me in the right direction 🙏
