Hi, after some advice on Residence certificate: I have my Retirement visa and a multiple entry visa both valid until 26 January 2026, I travelled back to the UK before my 1st 90 day reporting was necessary to sort some things out in the UK and I will be returning 28 February i.e. end of this month. I am reading that to apply for my residence cert I need to have stayed for 90 days and done my 1st 90 day report if I apply for it at Division 1 or go to the British Embassy for an affirmation letter of my residence, which I have also read that they no longer do 🤷 I have a 12 month lease agreement and an online registered TM30 from my landlord, so my question is what is the best way forward with out having to wait 90 days to do a report when I will be travelling to Bali for an 8 day holiday and that will reset the 90 day reporting clock back to zero any help would be greatly appreciated

I all, probably more a « everything else »

So in a few months I plan on moving to Hua Hin

I’ll probably need to buy car and I’m completely lost with all info I find online, so simple question :

Is it easier to convert my Driver licence to a Thai one in Hua Hin or in BKK (or other city?)

Do I need a residence certificate or is it only for buying the car ? Since I’m about to leave the place I rent I don’t know if it’s worth it to ask now.

No agent for sketchy scheme I play by the rules

So it seems some TTB branches in Bangkok can open accounts for DTV holders, particularly DTV holders who work remotely! I can't confirm for the other category of DTV. They showed me a list of 4 items required, of which I was missing just one, which I've attached here. The other items are

1. Passport + DTV stamp inside

2. other ID from your country (license or ID card)

3. DTV proof like letter from employer/ employment contract/

4. The attached image - that's what I didn't have. What is that? It's related to residence though. They didn't care about my TM30.

Non-O Thai wife visa extension is "under consideration" until Jan 13 but my previous year's extension expires Jan 30.

Am I required to pick up my new extension exactly on Jan 13? Or can I go any time between Jan 13 - Jan 30?

I'm trying to avoid 2 trips to Chaeng Wattana. One for picking up my extension on Jan 13 and another for some driver's license document on Jan 27.

As usual, much thanks in advance!
