Hello. I was granted an extension of stay on my non o visa at Jomtiem in December, no dramas. Looking at my paperwork today, I noticed a comment from the IO that I should return on the 3 month anniversary date and show my bank passbook, to evidence that 800000 is still in my account. I haven't done this before, is it something I should do or not worry about doing? Thanks
Hi everyone. I have 2 questions, 1- Did the immigration rules change this Feb 1 , 2025? 2- I had pension income verified by my Canadian embassy (over the 65k/Mon) but immigration did not accept it stating that it is not a "guarantee" from the embassy. Did anyone experience this, and can you please share?
Now I have to open bank account and deposit 800k bht into the account to get me 3 + 12 month visa. So I need to transfer 30k dollars from Canada into Thailand which is not an easy task.
Hello all. I am on a retirement visa, have been here 9 years. If I can show my Amazon page with six published books and plenty of reviews, plus good behavior here for years and an ample Thai bank account, would authoring books (in the US) be considered sufficient proof of remote work? Thanks y'all, good site.
I'm interested by the DTV but I was wondering if it's fine to work online with a Dropshipping website from products in Thailand?
For example, I run an e-commerce website, living in Thailand. When a customer order a product, I will buy the product to the store and send it to the customer.
It's a little bit tricky so that's why I ask. I know with the DTV, we can't work in the Kingdom, but is it considered as working?
I think I know the answers to my two questions but I would like to ask them anyway to get confirmation.
1 If I enter Thailand with a non O based on visiting Thai family, do I need to inform immigration if I leave the country within the 90 days?
2 Would there be any problem applying for another non O, at a later date, for example 6 months later, either in my home country or in Thailand, for the same reason, and with the intention of applying for an extension of stay based on marriage?
If I apply for DTV online (an eVisa), then it doesn’t matter whether I am a resident of the country or not? I only need to provide a rental agreement or similar proof that I am staying there at the time of application? I plan to go to Japan for two months and was considering applying for DTV while I am there.
And one more - if I have a strong CV as an artist with exhibitions, interviews, projects, awards, collaboration with media, etc, but don’t contract, am I allowed to apply? And in this case do I need to show them my portfolio?
Hi all! I’m new to the group. We are looking to retire in about 3 years to Thailand. My husband gets both military pension and disability, which we can easily live off of, but I also wanted to maybe teach English, as a supplemental if possible. I’ve taught both high school and college level English. When we move, I would be 53 years of age. I’ve read Thailand has a strict retirement age, but wasn’t sure if that applied to expats. Any information is greatly appreciated!
On renewal of EofS Marriage seasoned money is it 90 days or three calendar months? Counting from the date it was deposited for the requirement. Just confusion when chatting with Someone about wording as 90 Day reporting (TM47) EofS mentions 3 months seasoned. I said count 90 days from when first deposited to the requirement. It’s nice to be clear but as with Thai immigration I dare say it isn’t clear.
