I got my DTV approved this month. I am wondering do I have to maintain 500K baht (equivalent) in the bank throughout the 5 years?

I used to hold retirement visa. When come to renewing the visa, I need to present bank statement for the entire year.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about maintaining a minimum balance of 500,000 baht in their bank account for their recently approved DTV visa in Thailand, noting their previous experience with a retirement visa that required presenting bank statements for renewal. Responses clarified that while it's not necessary to maintain the funds as with the retirement visa, proof of the required funds may be requested when extending the visa in Thailand.

If you are looking to extend inside Thailand you need to show you still meet all of the criteria. A border bounce is probably easier

No need to maintain fund same as Retirement Visa. However if you wish to extend in country Immigration Offices are asking for same paperwork as initial application ie proof of 500k funds. (PS: You are not renewing the visa for 5 years)
