The big thing about TM6 is, they say it is suspended, not given out on airlines but can be got on a table near the immigration control, which I don't know about, but now the reason I have to rant on ,is you STILL NEED IT FOR THE YEARLY EXTENTION AND THE 90DAYS NOTICE, SO NOW IN THE CRAP GANG
Hi ,anyone got a yearly extension based on marriage but used a work permit to get it and not the 400k in bank ,if so what did have to show, thanks in advance .
Hi. Asking for a friend. He has been granted an E Visa Type Non Immigrant "O" 90 day multi entry from the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa Canada.
Question he is asking is can he go to the local immigration office in Korat and apply for a yearly extension based on retirement when he has 30 days left. He has the 800k baht in his own Thai bank account so that's not an issue.
He is arriving in 2 weeks time and I have already advised him to file a TM30 the next day. He is married to a Thai so no issues with filing a TM30.
I did my 90 days report last year on August, after that I didn’t have to do it because i have been traveling out of thailand every 2-3 months. And i lost that last 90 days report paper.
Will the immigration require that report for yearly extension? Or they will impose fine of 2000 baht for this ?
Applying for "O" yearly extension "thai children" using 40k transfers for 12 months. Do I only need statements from bank for 12 months showing monthly transfers over 40k or do I also need letter from bank showing amount in account on day of extension. Thanks
I arrived in Thailand this week on a 90 day non-O based on retirement, obtained from the London embassy.( I've just turned 50)
I should have the 800k transferred in 2 weeks. I believe I must have it sitting in a Thai bank account for 2 months before I apply for the yearly extension, and 3 months after, not dropping below 400k during the rest of the year
How early and how late can I apply for the extension? Is it possible to apply as late as day 89 for example?
I will be arriving in Phuket Sandbox on October 1st on a Non O retirement visa. I plan to apply for a yearly extension and understand the bank seasoning requirements. If my visa expires on 29th December, I understand that I need to apply for the yearly extension minimum 14 days beforehand ie on December 15th.
Am I therefore right in assuming that I need to open a local bank account and season the 800k baht by October 15th at the latest (which in effect means opening a bank account in Phuket during Sandbox).
It's a general question and my apologies if it's been asked before
If people are staying in Thailand on yearly extention either retirement or married to a Thai
If they leave the country but obtain a re-entry permit . What else would they need when they return to Thailand. If the yearly extention is not out of date
