Arrived in Phuket under the Sandbox today (the 2nd PCR will be refunded).
Flew from LHR to Phuket via Doha with Qatar. A380 seemed pretty full, although paying for an exit isle seat in economy gives unlimited legroom. I am sure there was a plane change to an A330 on the 2nd leg (I haven't looked yet) but as I had an empty seat next to me (seemed 80% full) it was fine.
I had a 2 hour 20 minute layover, and as the LHR flight took off an hour late there was no issue. Doha seemed a bit chaotic but no actual issues.
Phuket Airport was a very well organised military operation, and I was in and out in around 30 mins, although we seemed to be the only flight in town.
The driving style of my driver was interesting, and as we know 'lane discipline' doesn't translate into Thai.
Many thank to everyone on here (Stuart and James Miller to name two). Waiting for my PCR result now, so who knows.
I was in Phuket until a few days ago (Sandbox). Planning to head back in 10 days. I read everywhere that Test and Go will resume on March 1st. Is that for certain? Got my plane ticket for March 9th but waiting until Tuesday to apply for my Thaipass.
I would really appreciate some advice- looking to go to phuket from Heathrow in april,I'm under the impression that it has to be a sealed, direct flight,i can not seem to find any flights that are direct, all have a minimum 1 stop, what do i do?
Hi everyone, I have booked a flight from Canada to Phuket, transiting through Bangkok. Can I still do the test and go or sandbox program at Phuket? Or do I need to do it at Bangkok? Thanks.
Hi, folks. Some family members coming to visit next month. Can I just check that it is possible to do Test and Go in Phuket (and be free to travel to Bangkok / anywhere after the first test comes back), as long as you also book in somewhere for Day 5 (even if that is in Bangkok)? Guess you get more flexibility that way, though you lose that Day? Cheers.
Should I apply Thai pass first or book the flights first, Test and Go, Phuket Sandbox little bit confusing can anyone explain the whole process so it's very helpful for me as well as anyone who's in the same boat Thak You.
Having completed my 7 days quaranteen under the Phuket sandbox and have 2 negative PCR,s I now wish to travel back to Bangkok by plane. Would I be right in assuming at Phuket airport all I need apart from ticket and passport is my 2 negative certificates and possibly the Thai pass. Thanks for info.
Has anyone figured out how to actually purchase a sealed route from Bangkok to Phuket? I see that they are offered, but they don't show up in search results on the Bangkok Airways flight results
