Hey - was wondering if anyone has advice on applying from Bali, since I have a free place to stay (also not sure about the document requiring proof of location, would have the Visa on Arrival but not hotel booking). Was told you could apply online from there, but also there was a chance that you might be called for an interview, in which you would have to fly to Jakarta. So was just wondering if I should take the safe route and just fly to Jakarta or if there was a good chance of having no issues applying from Bali.
Any recommandation on a nice health insurance in SEA for a 25 yo man? I will be thailand 6 months per year and other months i would split between indonesia/vietnam/philippines… not sure yet.
Hello, I have a trip planned to Indonesia at the end of February, and I would like to apply for a DTV Visa (Soft Power) while in Jakarta. However, the required 500,000 THB will only be in my account about one week before my departure to Indonesia. I can provide a six-month bank statement showing my account activity, but the 500,000 THB balance will appear just a few days before my visa application. Would this be sufficient?
Hello all, my girlfriend who is from Indonesia is planning on applying for the DTV (using soft power for cooking classes) in Jakarta and she is not employed. I support her and pay for everything for us but am wondering if that will be a problem in getting approved if she is unemployed? I do plan on making the deposit of $15,000 into her account (and plan to be added/named on her account as well) and also wonder if we should wait three months before applying or if she could get approved with just one or two months of statements.
I applied through e-visa in Indonesia on 02/01 03:00 after I landed. Approved on Monday 06/01 13:00.
I applied as a freelance writer. Provided them with official business registration from my home country, 2 letters from employers stating I have worked for them and will continue to do so remotely. Also gave them screenshots of my website, social media, resume, and examples of my work.
Current address: An exit stamp of Thailand, entry stamp + visa for Indonesia, hotel booking.
I also gave them 3 months statement of my savings account and my 2022 invoices overview, and a signed contract for some work I'm doing right now.
PS: Jakarta is the worst city I have ever been to in my life (I am well traveled person). I got robbed by three men on a motorbike and got sick due to air pollution. The food is very bad and the city smells and is unhygienic. 2 other people in my hotel got their phones stolen as well. So I run away to Bali after 2 days.
Good luck with your application and thank you all for sharing your tips and tricks.
Im currently in Indonesia, and im Indonesian, trying to apply from Jakarta (online)
But i dont know which document to use to prove im currently in my own country (i dont have the stamp that im returning to Indonesia since i lost my old passport)
Hi all! how long does the show money have to be in the account for, when you apply in Jakarta? I’m a 21 year old foreign student in Singapore, my family stores our money through a friend’s bank account and in turn he sends me my monthly budget. Basically my father doesn’t just let me have tens of thousands of cash laying in my bank account.
But I’ll have to adjust accordingly and store it in advance if I need to. Hope someone can clear this up for me, thanks!
Since yesterday, Jakarta has become eligible for e-visas. I have a question regarding dependent applications: previously, when it was possible to apply in person, two separate bank accounts (for me and my dependent) with 500k each were not required. What is the situation now with e-visas?
