Application fees: Online DTV application VS in Person at Consulate/Embassy
I am seeking clarification on the application process for the DTV visa. Specifically, I would like to inquire whether submitting my application in person at the consulate would be a more secure option compared to applying online.
My concern stems from the non-refundable visa application fee of 10,000 THB. I recently came across a video featuring an influencer who claimed that they were only required to pay the application fee after their application had been approved.
In contrast, I understand that online applications require payment of the visa application fee at the time of document submission. Could you please confirm whether my understanding of this process is accurate?
I applied for my dtv 2 days ago in Germany, Frankfurt and today I saw they not only charged me the regular price for the visa but also 45,99€ extra costs for whatever. Additionally there are another 45,99€ reserved payments in my bank account. Anyone know what that’s for? I tried calling them but no one answers the phone though I called during office hours.
