I decided not to apply for a DTV after reading posts here that it was getting more difficult, and instead applied for a 60day tourist visa which is supposed to take 5 business days to process.
Today (day 10) they sent 4 emails requesting:
1. Proof I was still in the city from the time I submitted my application. They specifically asked for a selfie with a time and date. I bought today’s newspaper and stood in the market and took the photo.
2. Flight bookings to Bangkok from HCM- I bought 2 flights- one for this week and one for next week.
3. Updated hotel invoice with today’s date showing where I was staying in HCM
4. Flight out of Bangkok at the end of my 60day visa.
Thought this may be helpful to anyone applying for any visa type in HCM.
Did my 1st hop after almost 180 days. Went to Siem Reap, Cambodia and back via Don Mueang Intl Bangkok Airport. No questions asked, fresh 180 days stamped. Landlord also submitted new TM.30
Husband and I (separate applications) both just rejected in HCMC, both soft power, both with Discover Thai Nature seminar. Spoke with the owner there who says the seminar has been getting rejected in several places, but was just accepted in Manila and Germany. All that said, does anyone have any first hand experience of rejection in one city, but applying in another?
Does anyone have any experience applying for Thai DTV from Japan? I'm a resident here and intend to apply for Thai DTV under soft power to study Muay Thai. It is my understanding that different embassies have different requirement and just want to see if anyone has any experience applying from Japan.
Got asked for translated company documents and bank statements with my name on them.
everything handed in during last week.
Aswell as the request for the 6 Month Proof: of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.
I made 2 90 days booking in a hotel and im curious, if there are any positive expirience with that in KL.
Since they are so strict, im scared.
And no my Name is not Ugur, its Simon and im from Germany.
High payd professionell with all proves and finacial stabilty...
Just in case, if they dont accept that i dont know what to do anymore.
Because signing and paying for a house or condo upfront, without ever visiting it is so much to ask for...
I submitted all my documents to TTB Bank on Monday to open a bank account, and today they called me, saying they can't proceed due to a new policy. They now require a Payroll Account in Thailand, which is impossible for DTV holders since we can't work here.
Has anyone successfully opened a bank account with TTB recently?
