HI. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I tried 90-day check-in online for the first time, and immediately got an e-mail saying: “We have received your information successfully” along with completed form for alien to report staying beyond 90 days. (O retirement.) So my question is: Is this process is now instant? (In the past I’ve seen people in this group saying they are waiting for approval.) Thanks!
I’m currently in Thailand and want to apply for the DTV visa. As far as I know, it can’t be done directly from Thailand. Has anyone experienced this and knows the best way to do it?
I’m considering traveling to a nearby country for a week, like Bali or Sri Lanka, to apply from there. Does anyone know which country is best for this and how long the processing time usually takes?
Since the processing time is unclear, I assume I’d need to book a one-way flight and wait for approval before booking a return ticket – or is there a better way to handle this?
I will apply this weekend for DTV Soft Act. I am in Thailand right now. Which embassy in SEA is the best and fastest right now? I am thinking of Vietnam, better Hanoi or HCMC ? Or better another country?
Hello, any stories of successful (or even unsuccessful) applications for DTV in Manila? I'm wondering if the embassy there is a quick turnaround like Jakarta or strict like Taiwan seems to be? I've searched the group and not much posts.
i've seen mixed messages on where is better to apply from, Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi?
Can anyone give input on this?
Also, if you enter Vietnam via Ho Chi Minh could you still apply at the Hanoi embassy given it is all done and processed online? Or would you have to have arrived via the Hanoi entry port to apply there?
I applied for a DTV visa as the wife (my husband received the visa earlier). Unfortunately, I did not manage to receive it while in Poland and I have already arrived in Thailand. I received a request to complete the application: (Please upload a copy of the written statement (with the applicant's signature) with information regarding current place of stay/location status.) If I cross the border tomorrow and write a statement with a stamp in my passport indicating that I am in Malaysia, will it make sense? I applied at the embassy in Poland because that is where I was staying; will my trip to Malaysia be of any benefit? Will they reply that I should apply in Malaysia?
