Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone can provide an advice or smth..
Unfortunately, I received a rejection email for my DTV visa yesterday from the Thai Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. The reason stated was that I don’t meet the financial requirement of 850K EGP (~500K THB).
However, I had attached:
• A transaction history from my Remotepass account (I work remotely as a consultant through Remotepass).
• My actual work contract (active since August last year)
• An additional bank statement.
Both statements combined exceed 500K THB and are in USD, yet my application was still rejected.
I applied on February 17th and got a response just one day later. I’ve tried reaching out for clarification and to see if anything can be done, no response back.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any idea why this might have happened or what I can do next?
Hello, I am thinking about applying for the DTV visa, but I wanted to know in which country the application is easiest to do, fastest and most likely to succeed. I see a lot of people doing it in Vietnam. I live in France but my file is not really complete
I am having trouble booking an appointment at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane to pay for my Visa. Does anybody know where I can book it? The site is down, I've tried Thai Embassy's site either, Vientiane wasn't on the list..
Hello, i m preparing my documents for a DTV application and I have 5 contracts with customers of 5 pages each writen in French... Do I have to translate all the 25 pages in english with lawyer and notary ? Does someone can give me links for lawyer and notary to do it ? Thank you very much for your answers.
For Vientiane, I understand we need to pay the application fee at a designated agent. How does payment process work there? Do I need to pay before submitting application? Any info is much appreciated. Thank you.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience since this group has been really helpful!
I submitted my DTV visa application in the Philippines on Monday and received it today (Thursday). I initially thought Monday would be counted as Day 1, but it turns out they started counting from Tuesday, so it only took 3 days to process!
Here are the documents I submitted:
* Contract (proof of work)
* Employment verification (confirming that I'm currently working)
* Detailed explanation of what I do + screenshots
* Bank statement (last 6 months) – I deposited a large amount in the last 4 days (around $10,000 in total) to show sufficient funds
* My previous ED visa stamp + cancellation proof
* Current rental contract (where I’m staying now)
* Philippines entry stamp + hotel booking (used my current address for this)
Since I have a Korean passport, the visa fee was $0!
Hi all, I’m a Singaporean hoping to apply for a DTV visa, either from Malaysian Thai Embassy or Singaporean Thai Embassy. Seeking advice 🙏🏻
I’m currently employed under a Singapore-registed firm that allows me to work overseas, but I also have freelance clients and have contracts/portfolio/invoices from these clients—so I am thinking of just focusing my application on my desire to remote work in Bangkok. I have considered going through my employer to apply, but want to see if an independent application would be possible.
I understand that these two countries require a lot of documentation. If i want to apply for workation, will it be okay even if I am currently employed (hybrid flexible schedule) in SG?
