I think he meant he was out of the country at the time of the interview appointment and couldn’t make it to the interview.

I assume they told you to resubmit the bank statements without redaction?

Anonymous participant For HCMC I think it's a safer bet to put the cash in savings account and wait for at least 3 months. If your trading account is a bank account in the same bank as your savings account maybe they'll accept it? I really can't say for sure, sadly.

A word of caution, things are fluid so even the information provided by the course provider can quickly become outdated.

Anonymous participant 738 no it's just the automated email system message.

When did you submit your application? Yes it seems like HCMC is starting to ask for proof of income for both SP and Workation. I didn't upload any proof of income but I haven't heard from the embassy either though ..

EDIT: just received rejection without request for futher documentation.

Drat. Then I should have uploaded proof of income from the get-go instead, even though it wasn't asked for in the portal. Lesson learned. Still waiting for response, been Pending Approval since 6 Feb.

Yes, I know that, thanks. I was wondering in cases where an interview has been required, if the embassy dictates the time and date or if they give you a choice. The others have answered above.

Anonymous participant 265 abusing the system is strong language but not technically wrong, imho. And yes the DTV is designed for many people like you and I (although I've never spent more than 30 days in TH, but I'm intending to in future hence applying for the DTV). I would call what you've been doing as "following the letter but not the spirit of the law."
