Hi what’s the best way to do a border run from hua hin?

Hi, travelling to Thailand 13 feb to 18 March, staying with a friend for a few days, then planning to travel to the following places.

Chiang Mai, Jomtien/Pattaya, Hua Hin, Krabi, Phuket and Bangkok.

Anyone in any of those areas free to catch up for a chat and give me their pro's and con's on living in Thailand would be appreciated.

So in a few months I plan on moving to Hua Hin

I’ll probably need to buy car and I’m completely lost with all info I find online, so simple question :

Is it easier to convert my Driver licence to a Thai one in Hua Hin or in BKK (or other city?)

Do I need a residence certificate or is it only for buying the car ? Since I’m about to leave the place I rent I don’t know if it’s worth it to ask now.

Good afternoon everyone. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Thai language school in Hua Hin that I can use for the DTV application or cooking school. I have only found the Muay Thai gym and while that is awesome I prefer to learn the language or how to cook Thai food.

Wondering if anyone knows if immigration in Bangkok or Hua Hin is accepting the current affidavit of income from Canadian Consulate as proof of income? TIA

Got a question. I’m considering moving to Hua Hin using the retirement visa process. I know I can do the process here at the United States Thailand Embassy. But I was thinking of just going to Thailand and start the process shortly after my arrival. Then just staying. I know on the immigration card that is given on the plane. There is a section for return flight information. If I didn’t have a return flight entering as a tourist. Will this possibly be an issue?

I actually had a retirement visa when I lived in Bangkok for three years. But moved back to the USA in 2023. But back then I visited Bangkok for three months and started the process then . Then returned to the United States

I got my DTV approved while being in Thailand. So now i need to leave Thailand and come back.

What do you think is the cheapest way? Knowing that i'm currently based in Hua Hin, and next month i'll be in Koh Phangan. If i can leave and come back the same day, that's the best.

I'll do it either from Hua Hin or Koh Phangan.

I will be arriving in Thailand in mate January I intend to extend my 60 days to 90 by visiting my local immigration office at Bluport in Hua Hin.

At what time during my trip would it be best to apply for the extension please?
