I succesfully obtained my DTV Visa in Jakarta using Tiger Eye Muay Thai and MMA gym for my soft power application. They were very helpful with providing all the necessary documents needed and open with answering questions!
I applied sunday night, Monday it went to status pending approval and Wednesday it was approved without a request for additional documents. (3 business days processing)
I provided 6 months of tx history even if I read that people got accepted with 1 month history and I put 600K THB equivalant (EUR) on my bank instead of 500K just to be sure. (The majority of the money was transfered to my main account a couple of days to a week before applying because I didn't have it on 1 account)
Important concerns I had before applying:
* Can you have a job outside of thailand while applying with softpower - Answer is yes. I work remotely (not that the TH gov knows) and they approved my application. I chose this route to save myself hassle.
* Can I prefill my application while in thailand and submit it once abroad - Yes.
* Do I need to show the proof of finances on the day of submission - No, I printed the pdf of my statements 2-3 days before submission but the closer towards submission date the better I'd say.
* I used [members only] to translate my bank statements to english. Way better than google translate!
Hey! Has anyone recently applied for a DTV from Cambodia? I submitted my application on February 4th but haven’t received any updates yet. Is anyone else experiencing the same situation?
Do you know if there is a risk of refusal if the period between the application date and the intended arrival date is too short for the visa to be issued? For example if I apply on Monday and write that I plan to return to Thailand on Friday, if the visa is not ready on Friday could the application be refused?
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience since this group has been really helpful!
I submitted my DTV visa application in the Philippines on Monday and received it today (Thursday). I initially thought Monday would be counted as Day 1, but it turns out they started counting from Tuesday, so it only took 3 days to process!
Here are the documents I submitted:
* Contract (proof of work)
* Employment verification (confirming that I'm currently working)
* Detailed explanation of what I do + screenshots
* Bank statement (last 6 months) – I deposited a large amount in the last 4 days (around $10,000 in total) to show sufficient funds
* My previous ED visa stamp + cancellation proof
* Current rental contract (where I’m staying now)
* Philippines entry stamp + hotel booking (used my current address for this)
Since I have a Korean passport, the visa fee was $0!
I applied last 27th feb in HCM for DTV visa workation.
Our hotel was very close to the embassy so i asked my wife (Thai citizen) to see if they would provide any information about the processing time of my application.
They let her in (not me) and told her that they were pretty busy with many applications that have piled up during TET.
They let her know her that if all paperwork was in order it would take 5 business days (we know this) BUT it could take a bit longer. They said that it would probably be more safe to book a flight back not before 13 or 14 feb.
I like vietnam but i didn't expect to spend so long there. let's be patient. Good luck
Hello everyone, today I have submitted my DTV visa application online (soft power) in Frankfurt Germany. I want to know how long it will take me to know the result and whether I will be approved or not. I am very excited and worried. 😇😇
I submitted my application early January. I see so many people getting approved so fast…I’m getting a bit nervous. I’ve already delayed my flight twice now…
Has anyone recently got a thai visa from thai consulate vientiane and how long did they have to stay in Vientiane hotel while waiting for confirmation by email
