Just had my visa approved from Canberra Australia under soft power medical, I first applied on 2nd Feb, 3 times they asked for additional documents,

A photo, as they didn't believe the first one was less than 6 months old.

A support letter from my husband as he financially supports me.

Certificate of registration from the medical center I am being treated for my menopause for.

It then sat on pending approval from 7th February.

Now applying for my husband's spouse visa

Please could someone clarify exactly what this means, they have asked me for more info:

A deposit account shows the transactions last 6 months and the account balance or a combination of a deposit/saving account totaling not less than 500,000baht. Stock/Crypto/Bitcoin/Investment/Business/PayPal account and sponsor are not accepted

I previously sent them a statement from a brokerage trading account showing over 500k thb of assets. Do I have to sell my investments and transfer the cash to a checking account, and then show the latest statement from that? Is 1 month ok or do they need 6 months? Alternatively can I leave the cash in my brokerage account and just submit that? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for advice for my daughter. She has been living in Phuket training on a swim scholarship since April, 2023. She needed to go home to get her passport renewed and is on her way back. Before she left Thailand, the training center told her she needed get a DTV to return. She flew to Laos and had the training center invitation letter and letter of support; however, she was denied as they said the letter of support was not enough and she had to have the 500,000 baht in her account. The training center continues to argue with us that they do not have to have the 500,000 baht. But we've had the same issues with Beijing embassy and Los Angeles (via email enquiries). We do not want to keep paying to fly her to different embassies and getting her DTV denied. She is currently coming back to Phuket on visa exempt (US passport) and then will try to find the best option for a longer term visa once she gets here. So my questions are:

1. Is the DTV the best visa for her to be on for training or is there a better option?

2. Is a letter of support from the training center enough?

3. If DTV is the best option, which country should I fly her to for that?

Thank you for any advice or recommendations you can give?

Hey!

I applied for a DTV (workation) from Taiwan. I got a follow up email, asking for a Certificate of entry and exit date From National Immigration Agency.

I uploaded the stamp on my passport as evident but I guess it's not enough.

Any idea as to what they want me to add?

Thanks!

I’ve read and watched several videos about retirement visa requirements. The Thailand government website says either 800k baht or meet the monthly income requirement. One video says I’d have to do both meet the monthly requirement and $800k baht. I’m sure someone here has some actual experience. Why I don’t like Google for answers . Multi answers.

What is the current minimum insurance requirement for a Non-OA extension? I thought I had seen that it was reduced from THB 3 million to less, but I can't find that anywhere. Thanks.

Has anyone applied for a DTV visa Muay Thai from London or another embassy that has not been registered by the thai authorities but has a letter from the gym confirming that’s where they’re attending?

DTV: Softpower Approved in 2 days in Jakarta!

Details Below:

Applied in Jakarta on the 25th of Jan, got a VOA which takes a picture of you at the autopassport gate (if you have an e-compatible passport, apply online before or when you arrive).

Overall this was a simple, fast, and surprisingly no fuss process.

Visa Class: DTV Softpower

From: Muay Thai Fever - Derry McCourt was extremely understanding and accomidating for this part. 6 Month training plan. He supplied a full range of gym docs & certifications, training details, reciept, scheudle, anything that could be asked for by immigration.

Submitted: All required pages provided to me in a pre-combined single PDF.

Proof of Location:

Uploded the VOA email that has my picture and entry details, my hotel booking in Jakarta, and inbound flight just to cover my bases. I did not have an outboud flight booked so there was nothing to provide.

Submitted: Hotel booking, Inbound flight + VOA approval page with my photo on it, in 1 combined PDF.

Proof of funds:

I uploaded 5 months of bank statements from my USA bank, all showing over 500k THB. I only included the transactions on the most recent 2 months - while including a screenshot from that bank's mobile banking app for the current month (Jan) as I was applying right at the end of Jan and didn't have a proper statement yet. Totalling 6 months of banking. This account had 1-4 transactions each month - something that may have helped move the process through faster.

Submitted: Screenshot of my banking app showing current month + current balance, as well as 5 months of bank statements. Combined into 1 PDF.

Details:

Employement: Freelance & appropriate income. From my understanding employment, and income are not weighted in a Soft Power application, but it never hurts.

Duration of stay: 5 months - I didn't want to under, or over-apply the stay as technically stamps are for 6 months, but if I put only 2 months stay, they may instead say I only needed a tourist visa.

Address in Thailand: My current condo details, just the contact details from their google listing, no contracts or anything required.

Apply mid day Mon 27th, recieved email approval late Wed 29th, printed it out that night and flew out the following morning, the 30th.

When entering, the immigration lady I picked was smiley, but when she got my passport + printed DTV page she had to process for a while, lost her smile, then her supervisor came over and spoke a bit, and then I was stamped in no questions.

Hopefully that helps someone get their stuff sorted. I added all the details I am comfortable with sharing, so take what you need and good luck!🙌🙌🙌🙌
