For those who are london based , how long did you have the 500K equivalent too in your account ? Also are providing bank statements mandatory? I have had a fluctuation of amounts in my account, Not sure when to apply!

Edit: emailed Canadian Thai embassy and they require zero months duration for the minimum 500K.

I was just rejected in Cambodia. No reason, no additional requests for documents. I applied through soft power Thai botany course, had the money deposited 1 week before and 3 months of bank statements. I noticed my hostel told me the wrong city for the current address. This might be the reason but I’ll never know. Hope to have better luck elsewhere.

The soft power organization told me their agency mentioned Cambodia isn’t granting any Chinese this visa. My middle name is Chinese but I’m Canadian. Mystery…

Hello, I would like to ask a question about DTV. When applying as a couple, do we need to have 1 million baht in the bank account?

I would love and appreciate to hear some recent success stories!

I’m a DTV holder, my spouse has a 90 day tourist visa expiring at the end of the month. Both US citizens.

My spouse is applying as a dependent.

I’m trying to figure out the best place to apply in SEA or close.

I’d like to know:

-your country of citizenship

-Where you applied

-application and approval date

-specifics on bank statements (how many months/if funds needed in account the whole time or can be transferred in the last month like it was when I applied in Taiwan)

Hello everyone,

I am going to apply for the DTV (freelancer) visa for myself, and I would like to include my wife so we don’t need to provide double financial proof.

Where do I apply for the DTV for her?

For the 65,000 baht monthly deposit, do need to show that proof of deposit for a year before applying for the 1 year visa or just documentation that I have it? I also have the 800,000 baht to deposit. Could I deposit it and apply for the retirement visa and in parallel deposit the 65,000 baht and eventually prove that I have it and then withdraw the 800,000? Thank you

If the husband is an American citizen and we are registered as married in Thailand, he wish to change from a tourist visa to a Non-O (Marriage) visa. If he wants to change it in Thailand, he needs to have 400,000 baht in his bank account in Thailand. However, foreigners who enter on a tourist visa cannot open a bank account. How can he prove his financial situation? I'm looking for information from people who have gone through this process."
