Greetings everyone! Iโm applying for a METV in my home country of USA. I understand that I would need to provide evidence of finance. I typically have my funds deposited into mulitiple accounts and withdraw the cash. What would be the best way to show proof of funds? Should I deposit the cash back into my account and ask my bank for a running statement? Or will a deposit statement for the last 6 months suffice? Thanks in advance for your responses! As Iโm trying to mitigate any rejections ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best way to show proof of funds for a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa (METV) application is primarily to provide evidence of your account's balance rather than just deposits and withdrawals. The requirement generally expects a minimum balance of around $6000, maintained for a certain period before the application (often 90 days). While some users report that certain embassies no longer require financial proof, others continue to advise submitting bank statements to demonstrate financial stability.
the Royal Thai Embassy Washington DC has stopped asking for a financial proof for the application to a Multi Entry Tourist Visa. And I reckon the Thai consulates in the USA are following. Just open the e-visa online applicatio0n and follow step for step. Save each uploaded information before you continue . . .

If youre applying online, Has to have MINIMUM required BALANCE maintained for the length of time BEFORE applying. I believe it was 90 days for 6 month metv. And u WILL have to submit statements for each month up to applying. Plainly states everything in visa application instructions online.
it is true. I just had to show bank records etc in November 2023. I'm currently on the metv. If applying in the USA, you will be asked. Everything is on the application website
For you, for me, and for the Embassy processing the application :)

It is all about your balance in your account, not the deposits and withdrawals. They want to see an account balance at, or above, the minimum requirement. I believe for the METV that is $6000+, but I could be wrong on the amount.
