Is there any advantage to getting a Single Entry Tourist Visa (UK) if I plan to stay in Thailand for 3-5 months?
Would it help in any way with a visa run (by air) after the initial 60+30 days expire?
Or would it be a waste of money, and I'd be better off just arriving without a visa, using the free 60-day entry + 30-day extension, then doing a visa run and hoping to get another 60 days?

Hi guys, I’m sorry if this has already been asked already but I couldn’t find the answer I was looking for! For the 60 day tourist visa how do I go about applying for this when I am from the UK? I am travelling back home so do I need to go to the Thai embassy in the UK or can I just apply online? Will I also require proof of onwards travel? Thank you so much in advance!

- did you get a feel for what the employment letter needs to state? And why they want it
- were you questioned about your employment at all? E.g. “will this company still be employing you while you’re in Thailand/will your job be waiting when you get back?”
- Based on your experience do you have a feel for which would be best - getting a letter of employment from my retail job stating that they’ll employ me again when I’m back, or registering myself as a sole trader travel writer so that I’m self employed and can provide myself a letter but no self assessment?
I’d appreciate any guidance, but if what you’re writing is speculation/just something you’ve heard please make that clear, as theres lots of inaccurate info already out there and I’m really looking for reliable, first hand experiences ideally! ☺️ Thank you! Xo
