if the tm30 address is 700 km from the io that he applies for his extension at he might have a problem. Best to get a tm30 from the place he is staying at the time of application.

Did you get a reentry stamp before leaving Thailand? If not then your extension is now cancelled anyway. My take on this, and please correct me if I am wrong, would be to apply for a new 90 day non o in your home country and enter Thailand on that. Make your bank account up to

0 baht and then apply for 12cmonth extension with a few days to go on your 90 day.

I would assum his current extension is now invalid whether he got a re entry stamp or not.

I did not do tm30 for the first 5 months in Thailand. Nor did I do 90 day report. I knew nothing about them. On going to immigration I just got a ticking off and they did both for me. The IO must have been in a god mood.
