I bought a SIM card now how do I call the US from Thailand? Help please!

I know this has been asked before and some of the apps can not be downloaded in Thailand. I need an app with a phone number to receive texts and calls to the United States. This has to do with my bank and SS. They do have 800 numbers. Receiving texts once a Mt is about all I need. Thanks for any help

“And everything else” Question: What’s a good digital phone company for having a stateside (USA) number while here in Thailand?... I tried Magic Jack but it’s very unstable and useless.
