the purpose of a visa system isn't to make money on the visa fees, they make money by having people in the country bringing money in from abroad and spending it here. That's the explicit stated purpose of this visa.
absolutely no reason and the MFA has explicitly stated re-entries won't require anything but the visa but that doesn't stop people on Facebook saying they may require renewed proofs. Good to have confirmation that they don't.
Did you have to show any proof of anything like the 500k on re-entry? I presume the answer is "no" but there are people speculating about that, might be nice to put it to bed.
my first thought would be to match exactly what's on the passport, as I have had rejections before for tiny modifications like removing a space. He wrote DIA SYD because that's what it says in that field on his passport, makes perfect sense to me. You could write it out in full and then be rejected because it's not what's written on the passport. Hard to know which way it's going to go.
they probably know better than a random person on Facebook and were quite clear that re-entries would not require renewed proof. It's also how every single other multiple entry visa works, the proof is at the point of getting the visa, not at entry.
MFA said all you need for reentry is the visa, don't need to show requirements again. For extension in country may need to show requirements, that's up to immigration. This would gel with how other multiple entry visas work.
the DTV does allow this, how would he open an account in Pattaya if it didn't? Every branch has its own requirements. Possible to open in Chiang Mai as well but you need to follow the requirements and get a residence cert.
