I am renting in lower Sukhumvit, seeking “Extension of Visa”. Is there a satellite Immigration office nearby? If not, where is the closest Thai Immigration Office to be found? Thanks for helping steer me.
Heads up re DTV extension in Thailand. I just went to do 90 day report at Samui Immigration and thought I would ask if they knew yet re the 180 day extension.
Waited 5mins and got pulled into an office with 2 very helpful officers and 2 very big folders of paper!!
Asked them a few questions but my main one was what they will require for the 180 day extension.
After flicking through folders they came up with answer that need to show 180 days of bank statements showing the 500k THB balance(I didnt ask about non Thai banks tbh) and no other documents needed.
They said that this could be subject to change and as so new they didnt really know too much about the process hence the 2 folders of documents.
Just an fyi basically and obviously this is just one Immigration Office so others might have different requirements but they did look like they were referring to official documents from a higher source.
Tomorrow 1st May is “Labour Day”. A holiday for many but it is not a holiday for government offices. Immigration offices around the country will be open as normal.
I have a 60 day tourist visa that I obtained online here in the UK. I arrive on the 2nd Jan. I intend to apply for a 30 day extension so I can stay for 90 days. Can I apply for my 30 day extension straight away or do I have to wait a certain length of time. Thankyou.
