The three month "rule" mentioned in the other comment has nothing to do with the entry, but with the visa application. Embassies don't approve visas for travel further than 3 months after the application, based on the tickets/travel plans you submit when applying.
After 2 of those border bounce methods, most people get denied entry. You're not supposed to live in Thailand on a tourist visa or visa exemption, and they are cracking down on it even harder than before.
This is Thailand, though, so of course there are ways to pay your way around that. But the DTV costs way less and gives you headache free entries for 5 years.
Just block the braindead dinguses. Every expat group in the world has those dummies who think writing negative comments make them look cool.
The irony is that lots of them ask the same questions when they're new and then laugh at people who ask the same thing that they already know, after this group has already helped them.
