Dont know if anyone elsehas encountered this problem. I recently tried to send my wife a small amount of money using WISE. After three days I got an email saying my account had been closed due to fraudulant activity, which is absolute nonnsense. I have spent several hours on the phone submitted a claim with them and they still have my money. I cannot seem to talk with anyone with any authority. Anybody else have this experience and any idea on how to get my money back. Disgusted by this.
I am looking for some information please. I will have around 200,000GBP when I move to Thailand. Can anyone give me an idea of the best rate of interest I can get from a bank. TIA.
TRANSFER OF THB FROM BANGKOK BANK to CHF of my Swiss Cantonal Bank ?
Hello Swiss expatriates!
I am thinking of transferring part of my THB from my Bangkok Bank account to my cantonal bank (Neuchâtel) in Switzerland in CHF. Are the exchange rate and fees on both sides correct? THANKS !
Advice sought please !! Will re locate Thailand in Feb ! Am looking at transferring $$ from Australian bank to "Wise" to Thai bank !! As bank & wise apparently always use/send a " verification code" for transfer authentication I cannot get this as sent as SMS!! I would really appreciate a way around this without having to resort to a " VPN!?". Cheers
If you’re on a DTV visa and struggling to open a bank account, I’ve just found something that works: DEEPPOCKET.
I signed up yesterday and got approved this afternoon. You can top up at Big C, Tesco Lotus, or even bank branches by following the app instructions. I tested it out by having a friend send me 500 baht via QR scan, and so far, no issues.
It’s only been a day, but it’s already making things easier. At least I don’t have to carry so much cash around anymore. I’ll be using this until the banks decide what to do about DTV visa holders.
Why is western Union cheaper than wise all of a sudden ? Transfer 20000. Bht wise £472 and western Union £457 (no transfer fee) I’m guessing it’s a one off no transfer fee ?
