Hello everyone, anyone here has applied a DTV (soft power or workaction) in KL,Malaysia? If so, what was your experience like ? How long does it take? Do I need to submit payslips for 6 months for soft power? Any info is much appreciated.Thanks in advance for your help.

Is there anywhere else other other that Vietnam to get the visa quickly?

I am looking for an updated post on the DTV experience in KL. I couldn't find one. So, decided to pose a question here.

American passport holder.

Been in Thailand for a few years on an ED visa.

Now I am planning to get DTV via Muay Thai.

I have had that 500,000 THB in my Thai account for more than 3 months.

Which embassy/consulate will be better? Vientiane, Laos, or KL, Malaysia?

Does anybody have experience with DTV from KL?

All documents submitted on the 26th of December last year.

Nothing has happened then, except that I was denied entry to the embassy a few times to speak to someone.

Updates:

1- 8th Jan - request for 4 documents including letter from hospital specifically requiring treatment in Thailand, full passport scan, stamp of entry, and hospital appointments.

2- 13 Jan -Hospital refuses to issue letter except in person, but with some help, was able to get one from the hospital finally.

3- 14 Jan - Submit all documents except entry stamp as Malaysian airports "autogate" entry does not have entry stamp :(

4- 14 Jan - processing pending document change just like it has started.

5- I will go to the embassy in person to prove my location (the entry stamp thing) I hope the security officer will let me in.

How do you schedule or book an online appointment for a ED-Visa in Kuala Lumpur? I'm planning on moving by next month on February and i have everything ready but i heard that i have to book an appointment 2 weeks before going🙇‍♀️

As I need to prepare ahead, what are the best options for flights out of Bangkok for the 180 days in/out strategy? Kuala Lumpur? Ho chi Minh?

Can you apply from KL (Malaysia) with the e visa?

I just got my DTV visa approved from the Thai embassy in kuala Lumpur .. but I have to say it was not easy 😅
