Hello DTV group, has anyone had experience using the “Discover Thai Nature” course (Seminar Thai Botany, Herbs and Fruits
Soft Power - Making Thai Food, produce and herbs famous) to obtain the DTV through soft power? I plan on applying in Hanoi later this month and wanted to inquire on your experience with this option
Hello everyone, anyone here has applied a DTV (soft power or workaction) in KL,Malaysia? If so, what was your experience like ? How long does it take? Do I need to submit payslips for 6 months for soft power? Any info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
I’ve previously been in Bangkok during covid for 90 days on a 60 day tourist visa + 30 day extension.
I then came back to Thailand on a Tourist visa, left Thailand and went to Vietnam for 1 day and came back to Thailand with an ED visa from a language school learning Thai. I stayed in Thailand for 1 year from August 2023 - August 2024 on the ED Visa then left Thailand due to the expiration of my ED Visa.
I then returned to Thailand with my brother in October 2024 where I was asked “what was I doing in Thailand?” and I answered “traveling with family” and pointed to my brother who was behind me. I was then asked to provide proof of accommodation and proof of leaving Thailand plane ticket then I was let in with a 60 day tourist visa and have extended it for extra 30 days.
I will be leaving Thailand when my tourist visa ends on January 9 2025, I am planning on applying for the DTV Visa under soft power activity of Thai Cooking and renter Thailand with the DTV Visa in February 2025.
I’m quite worried I’ll be asked questions at the boarder.
Could anyone share their experience with being questioned due to their history of being in Thailand for long periods?
Could you guys share your opinions on if it’ll be fine or if you think it’s not smart to do this visa due to my previous long stays?
And if you got asked questions when entering with DTV Visa please let me know what they asked? So I can prepare myself
Any recent experience on processing time in Munich consulate? I would apply for dependent visa(wife). My approval took there 10 days. Do you think it can be faster for a dependent?
Dunno if this helps, but this is how it all took place for me...
I applied DTV (eVisa)
Status was 'Peding Document Check' for over 5 weeks!!! 😣😣🤧
Phone reply: Write an email
Email reply: Wait Patiently
😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
Finally, I walk-in to the consulate during visa-visiting-hours, on a thursday, this is 5+ weeks after I applied ...
Within 30 seconds they check that all is in order and make it 'Pending Approval'
Three days later (Sunday) 9pm (at night) Approved. 🙂
Then apply for my spouse, Next working day it moves to 'pending approval'. A week or so later, it's Sunday again, and BOOM, 1pm (afternoon) Approved. 🙂
I applied for the DTV Digital Nomad using the eVisa process.
Provided employment contact with Australian company, hotel booking in Phnom Penh, bank statement showing balances of accounts, with photo and scan of passport bio page.
There was no way to provided additional documentation, so I paid and applied.
Had anyone had experience with this process? What should I expect next and when?
Taipei - do they still issue DTV within same day? Colleague got response from them today that it takes up to 3 days if all documents are in place, if missing - up to 5 days. On the other hand, when i inquired, they told me same day. Possible that the volume of applications have increased hence longer time to process? anybody applied last week or so and got it same day? Also, has anyone booked a hotel not far from the office? if yes, could you please recommend. thanks in advance!
