Is it possible to use training and studying in a government approved Thai massage school in Chiang Mai as your reason for applying for a DTV? If so, then what documentation for the program do I need to provide? Thanks in advance!
I’m moving to Thailand to continue my Muay Thai career. I train out of Manop in Chiang Mai (I have trained there previously). I am certain that gym has all of the correct certifications to enable visa sponsorship. However, sponsorship is not advertised and Kru Manop takes cash payment on arrival rather than requiring booking.
After learning more about what is required, I am a little reluctant to trouble kru Manop for all the required documents, though when I asked for his help I offered to pay a fee. Would it be better to simply spend a month at a gym that already understands the visa requirements, even if it’ll cost me more, for the convenience before going to my preferred camp?
My wife and I enrolled in a language school in Chiang Mai, the school applied to the Ministry of Education for us and our documents arrived 45 days later. Now they will apply to the immigration office for an education visa and our visas will be issued in 21 days, but we have a 4-year-old daughter and we will apply for a dependent visa for her, the immigration office said that they will give our daughter a dependent visa during the first extension (i.e. during the first 90-day report after receiving the education visas). The school says that after my wife and I receive our visas, we have to go abroad and come back again for our daughter, there must be a mistake here, can't the 4-year-old child apply at the same time as us and get a dependent visa? Since she cannot act independently of us, how will she go abroad and come back? If If we wait for our first visa extension, this time our daughter will have to stay in the country illegally. In this case (if she remains illegal), they say she will not be able to get a dependent visa. Please help.
Hi. I a uk citizen and arrived here on a 60 day exemption from Philippines. I extended this for 30 day in Chiang Mai.
The extra 30 days will expire soon and my thinking is to go to Laos via Nong Khai then return to be able to extend my stay?
Can I return via the same land border and get another 60 day visa exemption stamp? If so, can I do this on the same day? Or do I need to go to the Thai embassy in Vientiane to get a tourist visa for Thailand? Alternatively, if I fly back to Bangkok from Laos, will I get another 60 day visa exemption?
Any clarity on this much appreciated.
Apologies if this a repeated question. I've read a lot of contrasting information on this and am pretty confused. It also sounds like the rules may have been changed recently.
Good evening. Question please... got the DTV, first in person report coming up. I have since moved from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. When I report obviously passport, anything else? Do I now need to do a TM30 or any other documents (lease agreement) now I have a new location? Thank you.
Hi I intend to get the Dtv visa by the soft Thai power muay Thai wat.. I can buy the muay Thai fever program for 15000 baths.( They are based in Chang Mai). Anyone has applied Dtv using their invitation letter ? Are they reliable ?
Otherwise are there any reliables muay thaï clubs in Pattaya providing not so expensive Dtv services ? ( Because I plan to stay in Pattaya. So would be more suitable for me)
