Is getting a visa the only way for a US passport holder to stay in Thailand longer than 30 consecutive days? I could have sworn that I read somewhere last year that Thailand had extended the maximum stay beyond 30 days.
My last 45 day covid extension is up on Monday. I'm hoping I can go into immigration in Chiang Mai and get a 7 day extension before my flight either to the states or to another country.
Here are my questions-
Is the 7 day extension happening for others?
Could I go in earlier (say tomorrow) and still get the additional 7 days?
hello admin & members . . . are there any news if the Elite Visa will serve as a requirement and means to obtain a certificate of entry from a Thai Embassy abroad? And does the purchase of an Elite Visa will enable an extended stay for all those who are being under the threat to have to leave Thailand before September 26 ?
It is clear that there are a large number of people currently on amnesty who are desperate to stay in The Kingdom of Thailand after July 31st. I am one of them and getting increasingly anxious as time goes by and there is no information available for me to be able to make plans.
I would say this. At a time when plans are being made to get tourists into The Kingdom and the economy slowly restarted so that many Thai people can begin to support themselves again:
It makes no sense to force us all to leave unable to return.
Hi all. I have a question re: the non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national.
If I obtain the initial non-O at Savannakhet / Ho Chi Minh (no financials), and then apply for a 1 year extension within 90 days here in Bangkok, what would I need to show re: income - i.e. is it a certain number of payslips or are they just looking to see an employment contract?
The reason that I ask is that my job is likely to start around the same time that I get the non-O. Thanks in advance!
