I previously posted about being rejected by Los Angeles after 17 days pending document check because the system had deleted my middle name before submission.

I re-applied and, after about one week, received the following document requests:

"Other request documents: Business portfolio

Other request documents: Please upload a business registration of the company

Other request documents: Your recent tax return

Other request documents: Guarantee letter from the company implies that you work remotely

Other request documents: Employment contract or employment certificate from company"

—"Business portfolio":

It would sure be helpful if they explained what they mean by that. In my original application, I included links to two of my freelance portfolios where they can see dozens of pieces of work from the last couple of years. Should I print out hundreds of pages of work as the portfolio? My main current job is a large project that is not yet finished for them to see.

—"Business Registration":

Again, it would be helpful if they were a bit more explicit. The main foundation I work for has a prominent website. I Googled their "business registration" and all their information since 2001 is available on Propublica.com. I guess I will print that out and submit that?

—"Recent tax return":

That is clear enough. I didn't file this yet this year, but I will do that today.

—"Guarantee letter from the company implies that you work remotely":

This is funny because I am a literary translator and writer, so of course my work is remote, but my contract doesn't explicitly say that because it's obvious. I will request that from my main employer spelling it out.

—"Employment contract or employment certificate from company":

This is the most troubling because I already submitted a very thorough copy of my contract to them. So I am very confused as to why they are asking for it again.

Overall, it doesn't look very promising. At least they didn't ask me for more financial documentation. I will submit these docs and hope for the best, but I'm pretty discouraged by this opaque system with no recourse. If it fails again, I'll try to go through an agent, which is probably much more reliable.

We simply sent same documents with my wife they did not want any additional employment contract for her, while they wanted from me. As I am the 50% shareholder of the company. Should I write an employment contract directly to myself. Can anyone help ?

Hello friends. I am in the process of gathering all my documents, but have read different stories everytime, so I'd rather be over prepared. But the following will need some clarity please:

- Document indicating current location. Assuming this means my entry stamp into another country?

- Bank statement. 3 months or just proof of money with 1 statement?

- proof of workcation. I have employment contract for the UK but I also hear that I should have the companies certification and a screenshot of my portfolio? I assume my CV would be good here.

- I've also heard that a TM30 is needed?

- Lastly if they fail my application will I need to pay another 10,000THB to repapply the second time? Please say no 😬

In case the employment contract is not in English, guess this needs to be translated in English but who is accredited to do it?

Currently on a NON-B in Thailand through an employer of record. I would like to change over to DTV, supplying my business owner documents for my entity in Singapore (can’t show freelance income as that would require me to become a freelancer with my own company while I am still in Thailand); has anybody in here been successful just showing Pte Ltd incorporation papers to get approved for DTV? In the Employment Contract field, we can upload one PDF. I have two full-time jobs paying $1200 and $800, which together look good, but uploading just one doesn’t seem ideal.

I also have over $1000 income directly from Freelancer.com and a strong profile (500+ reviews, 15 years old). Should I upload a screenshot of my profile page or combine the two employment agreements into a single PDF?

Looking to apply in Hanoi as a remote worker. I recently started working remotely for a company based in Singapore and have all the required documents and 500K in my bank account.

As I just started this job though, and was previously travelling and had no income, I am worried of what will happen if they ask for 6 moths of payslips (which I have seen mentioned on this group a few times). Is it likely they will ask for proof of past income? Or will a contract and letter from employer with my current salary suffice?
