Hello everyone, I need all the information I can get. I’m planning to start a company (recruitment) and do the work from Thailand. I’m from europe and currently in Thailand. Will I be able to start a company and immediately apply for a DTV visa, or is it impossible since the company hasn’t started yet? What documents will they require?
I’m 19, I got my DTV approved at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, despite everyone saying it wasn’t possible due to me not being 20.
I’m a high earner, a part time freelancer and also work a 9-5 corporate job. I think it might have resulted in my visa approval.
I applied in person at embassy, where I had a casual interview with the Consul General. She asked about my work and travel history, but mostly, she seemed genuinely interested in my previous travels in Thailand.
The next day, I collected my approved visa and passport.
The documents I submitted included:
- Resume
- Company Certificate
- Company Extract
- Company Tax Payer Identification
- Employment Contract (Approved and Stamped by the Ministry of Labor)
- Statment by the Board of Directors supporting remote work applications.
- Formal request letter from my company to the Royal Thai Embassy
- Balance Certificate Issued by Bank
- 6 months of bank statement
It’s not a hefty process, if you align with their criteria I’m sure they won’t make it difficult for you.
Good luck with your DTV applications everyone. Everything is possible!
i submitted all documents (payslip, proof of residence, bank statement, work contract). (Thai embassy vienna via website "thaievisa")
3 days later i got the request to submit additional documents
”Other request documents (The DTV will be considered for remote workers, digital nomads, freelancers, and participants in certain cultural activities. Please upload a cover letter specifying which category you align with.”
what could be the reason, since i already provided my work contract.
* because the 100 % remote work is not explicitly mentioned im the work contract?
* from your experience, was the specific mentioning of 100% remote work required ?
* is an explicit cover letter next to the work contract required?
Did my 90-Day Report today and asked for the requirements for extending the DTV. Got told that they want to see all documents/proof again that i used for my visa application. In english or thai language. So i would require a translation. The most important thing is the financial proof they said, which obviously has to be a current bank overview / statement / whatever… Talked a little with 3 officers and they recommended just doing a border run and get a fresh 180 day. This was done in Krabi where immigration is usualy very easy. (DTV was applied and granted via eVisa / germany. workcation category.)
Very easy and professional process in Taipei, Taiwan. Visited the embassy at 9AM this morning. Got approved at 3:30PM same day. Will pick-up passport at 4PM tomorrow!
Hello, I am hoping to apply for the DTV visa at London Embassy when I am home for Christmas. I am a self employed UGC content creator and have contracts with clients dated in April, May and October. Do you think this suffice for proof of work alongside a portfolio & a letter from myself of self employment? Thank you so much!
