Are most embassies wanting the passport bio page photocopy in color or is black n white ok?

I have submitted my visa application to the Thai embassy in Sydney, I have confirmation of lodgement and visa no.

I did not see any provision to pay the 60 Australian dollar fee,it is the 60day tourist visa I applied for. The acknowledgement email it says it may take 5 /7 days before I hear of acceptance of visa ,when do they take the payment.
