Just a quick FYI if using the appointment booking system at Phuket Immigration office.
I made an appointment a month ago to renew my annual retirement extension and received a reminder by email the day before. However, on arrival was told they don't use the appointment system anymore and take a number 🤣
The queue was not too bad as there seems to be more staff now.
I successfully applied for the DTV in Taipei and have the visa in my passport. However, I just noticed that they have listed “TWN” (Taiwanese) as my nationality, which is incorrect. I have already left Taiwan. Can this be fixed in Thailand? I would prefer not to have to travel back to Taiwan just for this.
Hi all, I am seeking an agent in Bangkok, that may be able to assist me in obtaining a retirement visa with multiple entries, (if such a visa exists), as well as a Thai bank account.
PM me if you are able to assist, I will be arriving in Bangkok in Nov.
Update DTV South Africa: The short of it is they still do not have any information about the DTV, cost or procedures and asked to follow up mid August.
You cannot go to the Pretoria Embassy in person anyway they won't let you in. I had to speak to an officer over the phone. She said it'll be likely that the DTV application will be done via a courier service. The VFS agent knows nothing about the DTV either.
Went to IT Laksi today and got my Visa-exempt extension today. Just want to recommend that if you're going to do this -- MAKE AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT! It is so much easier . They honor their word there, that you'll get it all done within 15 mins if you go for your appointment on time.
Just remember: PRINT OUT the confirmation of your appointment and add this to your required documents of TM7, TM30, the two acknowledgement documents, copies of your passport data page and latest entry stamp.
Also -- lesson learnt today -- the ID Photo you have to attach to the TM7 form must be taken against a white background.
*BTW, a bit of fun info --When you're done, go to the Second floor -- two great discount stores there for all kinds of household /office needs --DIY and THANK YOU shop.
First time trying to use the drive through in Phuket Town for 90 day report. Question - I am bringing photocopies of passport (visa/personal info page) and my departure card. But do I need to fill out any forms? If so, it seems it’s not a drive through if I don’t have the forms before getting there. Is this the gist?
Completed my 90 days online and received Approved email... where do I go to print my receipt showing next due date? I’m sure it used to be attached to the approval email? Cheers
I’d like to share my experience at Chaengwhattana immigration. I went to get Covid extension today. I had a stamp until December 21st and I’ve got a new stamp until February 19th. The officer didn’t ask for a return ticket. I was with a baby though, maybe it was the reason they didn’t complicate anything.
This question really only pertains to Chiang Mai. Does anyone know if the on-line appointment system in the Chang Mai Immigration Office for yearly extensions has started again please ? Many thanks
