A lot of people I speak to seem to go in the morning. I was wondering if anyone has gone in the afternoon and if it’s more quiet?

Hi all. FYI, at Bangkok Immigration today, 4 April, they stayed open past normal hours to accommodate the large crowd. My husband went this morning for extension on his research visa, there were a lot of people, his ticket had a very high number. By 4:30pm, the normal closing time, there were still 100 people ahead of him. Long story short - they stayed open late. He got his visa done by 6:30pm, & they were still open. Can’t say if this will continue until Songkran, but just a heads up. And don't forget they're closed on Thursday, 6 April.

(My thought was that they wouldn’t just keep handing out tickets & make you sit there all day if they were unable to to complete them. Seems that was the case.)

I went to immigration in Chonburi Monday, very few people.

I went today an there was quite a line. Not a bad line but still some waiting.

I would recommend anybody that has business with immigration to go sooner than later.

Just a heads up for anyone in Chiang Mai. Welcome to tourist season. I came to immigration at 5:45am and I got ticket 87 for student extension only. That's not including tourists or anyone else. This is my 2nd ED visa and I have never seen it this busy. The waiting area has had a constant queue of 150-200 since 6am. Please feel free to come earlier and wait if you have plans for the afternoon or want to get an appointment at all.

Tomorrow is a holiday as well. Immigration is closed.

If you are going to Chaengwattana remember that all the international students need to get their ED visa extensions.

I got here at 4:50 and there were over 100 people in line already.

If you use section N for your extension, plan to be here a good while.

Been here 4 hours and still waiting for my new visa
