Hello, I’m just trying to get my head around something. We are a family heading to Thailand later this year but my partner is coming out a month ahead of my son and me. If he applies for a 60 day visa in advance, and then we do the same for a month later, it seems as though we will always be out of sync in terms of extending visas and doing visa runs- can anyone think of a way around this?
Also we want to stay until the end of Jan 2025. Partner will arrive around 25th August and son and I around 27th Sept. Does my partner have enough time allowed to be able to stay until the end of Jan?
Can anyone suggest the simplest way we could manage our situation please? 🙏🏻
Hi all. I've been coming back and for to Thailand for quite some time by just using the 30 day entry stamp. For my last trip I used the 60 day tourist visa for the first time, and have a short term condo for two months where the landlord has sent me a TM30. I only arrived around three weeks ago but unfortunately I've had to make a quick trip back to the UK where I'll have to stay for up to just under two weeks. When i come back to Thailand, will the conditions of this 60 day visa still be okay or will my leaving make it null and void? My original immigration stamp doesn't run out until 11th May and the visa is to be used by 20th July if that helps. Thanks in advance for any information 🙏🏾
I am about to submit my paperwork from the USA and apply for a 60 day tourist visa. Does anyone have any recent experience with how long it takes to process? If it matters, I was going to use the Chicago Consulate.
Just finished a border run and was going to apply for 6 months ED visa, but I only plan to stay until the end of July. So with process time I was considering the 3 month but it is quite expensive.
Would it be cheaper if I do Muay Thai instead of learning the language?
Hi folks , I always flown to Thailand from Sydney visa exempt but as I’ll retire there this time I thought I’d apply for 60 day tourist visa which can be extended a further 30 days in Thailand .So 90 days to revisit a few places and decide where is best for me .
My question is for Aussies who have applied for 60 day tourist visa in Australia.
How do I fill in arrival dates and departure dates on visa form if I’m going to apply for retirement visa in Thailand ?
Do I book flight toThai land and buy a cheap ticket to Cambodia showing departure date 30 or 60 days after arrival to satisfy visa application?
If I apply for a 60 day tourist visa beforehand, but ends up not being sorted in time, is it still feasible to just enter on a 30 day (no visa required) and just +30 day at immigration at BKK on arrival, or sort an immigration office a few days later after arriving? I have onward travel (by air) booked around the 45 day mark.
I had an issue on the Thai embassy website (whilst trying to sort the 60 day online from the UK) where it was 'payment processing' for ages (and no update to say what the issue was), but I found (guessed)it might be due to the 'billing address' that couldn't be changed on their worldpay page (it was set to their location and I couldn't change it to my own) - super frustrating!
I reapplied from scratch again once I realised this error many days later having left it to see what would happen - but aware that it may now just not be processed in time.
I have the 800K in the Thai bank and will enter on a 60 day tourist visa. Can I get a one year extension of stay or do I first have to convert to a Non O at immigration?
