@Paul *******
right, because the government in Thailand represents a big improvement over the one in Canada 🤣

as Brandon said. You obtain the job first and then the WP. It isn’t a situation where you get the permit and then go looking for work…

@Sam *******
my point is more that saying that there is no economic benefit for Thais to move to a place like Canada isn’t really true

@Craig ******
, I bet loads of Thais living in Canada would disagree with that assessment

plenty of people all over the world would give their left arm to emigrate to Canada…it ranks far higher in every category of living standard than Thailand ever will…just because you don’t wanna live there, doesn’t mean there aren’t loads who do

get married, get a job or shell out money for elite. So many people get Ed visas and don’t go to class..that’s a scam, it would be like holding a B visa and not working…I can totally see why it’s being cracked down on…

@Mike *******
totally is. All you need to do is read this forum and all the people who complain about having to attend class for a certain amount of hours per week…and how they are being forced to go to school…if you have a retirement visa, you must be be over 50, marriage visa, you must be married, not sure why anyone thinks it’s unfair that if you have an Ed visa, you must actually study…

E visas only seem beneficial when going to countries where a visa on arrival isn’t available, meaning your other option besides an e visa would be a consulate or embassy visit. If you can get one on arrival, that’s usually the best bet.

well,it’s clear from comments by the OP, that the goal is not about learning Thai, it’s about having a visa to be able to stay long term..
