Big delays in Royal Mail system in U.K.

I sent a small packet to Australia and it took 13 days to get from Swansea to Heathrow, sat in Heathrow for 9 days before leaving the country, then sat at Brisbane airport for 7 days before being processed on Wednesday. Waiting for it to be actually delivered now!

You have 3 months to use the visa once it’s issued so once you’re inside that timeframe you might as well apply.

Different Embassies/Consulates have different turn around times. Here in the U.K. it’s usually very quick but I don’t know about Canada.

Just on the U.K. licence, it will actually expire on your 70th birthday. You then have to renew every 3 years.

If you are planning to live full time in Thailand there are no real advantages to the Non O-A but a huge disadvantage in that it requires specific Health Insurance for each Extension of Stay.

If you are planning to travel between your home country and Thailand on a regular basis then the Non O-A might have advantages in certain situations.

the 90 day report and TM30 are not the same thing. Completely different requirements for different people under different sections of the law.

90-day report is a requirement for the foreigner.

TM30 is a requirement for the householder and is only done if someone new moves in.

Yes, I’ve heard many reports of Jomtien doing this. It’s easy money for them. It’s why I said I’d move if the landlord refused to do a TM30.

The TM30 is a legal requirement for all homeowners to register any foreigner staying in their property.

It is not a requirement for an Extension BUT many Immigration Offices check if it’s been done when you ask for an Extension.

It is the house owner who is breaking the law and should be fined but it’s easier for the IO to fine you as you’re sat in front of them.

It shouldn’t stop you getting an Extension.

Personally, I’d move property if the owner refuses to submit a TM30.
