I really could not care less if you don't accept what I said. I know the deal I got was great for the period of time I done it. Plus they done the transaction quicker than what they said it would take. Carry on.

In defense of Schwab regarding your negative & unfair blanket statement against them, I got an EXCELLENT exchange rate from them in my transfer of the 800K baht visa requirement. Plus the wire fee was TINY.

What are the requirements for extending a Non-O visa in Thailand, and is it common to pay extra fees for paperwork?

The good ol' Pattaya Immigration office. The absolute worst of all the IO's in my opinion. No contest. BRAZEN open corruption and their own little Nazi fiefdom with many of thier own dreamed-up rules differing from the norms of other IO's. I could write a absolute book on the nightmares they put me through.

YES SIR! I have been very well-schooled in that aspect in my ordeal in trying to obtain a retirement visa. I could write a book in how Jomtien tortured me for over 6 months regarding that. I would had simply left and moved to another district, but I had a double knee replacement in late April and that squashed that idea.

Hmmmmm......I guess each office can be different. No mention of the test at that website as far as a 'exchange' procedure, or whatever it really is.
