not yet, I'm gathering info for when I retire later this year. I know I need a non o visa then get extention 1 year, say I want to leave in that year, I get myself a reentry permit, correct? Do I have a time limit to get back to Thailand before I need to start from scratch again?

They want your money, but you could get lucky. I did this years ago to take my wife (girl friend at the time) to Australia, but I was allowed in the interview room with her, they interviewed both of us. I know this is no help to you as the US embassy has their own rules, wish you good luck.

You can look for a job, if you find one then the employer will need to give you all the paper work to go with it. I'm not sure if you need to leave the country to apply for an business visa, I did something similar years ago (2004) I needed to go back to Oz for my business visa, with all the paperwork I was given I can't remember how long that took. Once I had that, I few back to Thailand and the companies agent helped me through all the paperwork to get the work permit, I remember there's lots of signing papers involved. May be different now.

Just need to keep it simple, something like I wish for my husband (his name) to join me in Thailand and then sign and with your name printed and also date it. That's what we do.

It shouldn't matter, I had a visa recently but I didn't want to use it straight away, cause I was flying out the next day. I had to explain to the IO that I'm flying out tomorrow and it I use my visa now it's wasted and I wanted ti use it on my return from Lao. They them stamped me visa exempt. They knew I had a visa even though I didn't hand in my paperwork. It's on their system.

I'm a bit confused, you're saying the 40k has to be earned in Thailand, how do you earn 40k in Thailand? I'm not there full time yet and planing either later 2025 or mid 2026.

What do you expect from a convict government! bunch of crooks and if they say no it's all gone, I wish I could do business the way they do, thanks for the money, but.....
