every 3 months… takes usualy less than an hour in Krabi. mostly its 15mins and done. no reason to stay in big city Bangkok or in Pattaya for me personally where everything is just more complicated and takes way longer. i prefer the ease of life. i also did the DTV but ED is always a great and very easy option.

just get an ED visa.. its 1 year per visa and you can do multiple consecutively (different thai language classes for example). its like 50k baht for a year all included. very simple to get and low effort.

how is the official thai revenue department not official? lol… its the correct ministry that is in charge for the tax. and they were even so nice to create a comprehensive overview in english language for people like you. believe it or not…. thailand does not tax on worldwide income. i guess thats pretty clear and can be read in many sources… thailand taxes income that is remitted to the country in the same fiscal year no matter when you actually earned it… inform yourself.

where do i say that i will evade the tax system? my income is under a DTT and no issue at all. i am just pointing out the current regulations..

yes there have been talks about worldwide income but its not law. (yet)

no one has done it yet thats right. a few more weeks and the first people might be able to extend. even the officer recommended the border run to me :D

the 10k fee and only once per 5 years was never an official statement. that was made up by people spreading misinformation

Forget Laos and go for Vietnam and do the evisa application right after arrival… takes maybe 5 days. plenty of reports here in the group. its probably one of the best options right now

there is no list. not even for other things you do there… man i live in krabi. the immigration office is 2 small rooms with a bunch of seats… when the officers that always handle my visa things give me this information then i would consider that legit. its always the same 3 officers you deal with. it was even confirmed by the head off there. not everywhere in thailand is bureaucracy hell. what would a list from bangkok or chonburi help me? do you think officials act according to such guidelines? when most things go differently in every province/office. so i prefer believing the officials that would give me the actual stamp ;)
