Greetings all 🙏 I'm staying here in Bangkok for a few months. I'm having s difficult time finding a place that will rent me a scooter by the month. What's that all about?
Having recently had an accident in Thailand on a motorbike where my insurance seems to think it’s ok to make me jump through hoops before they even start to pay out is there any insurance companies that are there to help in your time of need?
Hi all. Something else question. A family member of a friend (all Thai nationals) has just recently had a motorcycle accident. He was taken to a government hospital and stayed for 2 days. However he did not have any motorcycle insurance and his family was charged 30 thousand baht. He has had to return to his home because he has no further funds even though he is still in need of medical attention. Something doesn't seem right to me about this. Has anyone any experience about this situation. I'd like to know the law. Google is not clear.
I feel really silly right now; I just got a traffic ticket for driving a motorcycle without a Thai license. Is this going to affect my tourist visa application next week?
So I missed my window to get a motorcycle license in my home state. Is it possible to get a Thai driver's license while I'm there to legally drive a motorcycle?
Not sure if this answer is to vague to answer. I’m looking at buying a 155 motorcycle does any falang on here have one and know how much it costs to insure as a falang?
What is the best option for obtaining local medical insurance?
My biggest concern is making sure I have good quality cover in the event of a motorcycle accident.
Is local insurance even worth it?
What kind of driving license do local insurers require? Is a foreign motorcycle license + IDP acceptable or do they require a local Thai license? Happy to get the latter anyway as the IDP is a pain to carry around.
