Do i really need a Thai Driving License if i have an current UK issued valid IDP and a UK license. I'm going for a retirement visa next week.

Hi I have a 2 years driving license in Thai.

May I know what do I need to upgrade to 5 years license and then, to 1 year IDP? Also, can you please advise how long it will take for each process? Thank you.

I'm from America and am planning to be in Thailand and drive from Bangkok to Phuket from 16th of December to 4th January and i would like to ask, if it's feasible to do the trip and still enjoy it.

How is the weather? Is the journey still worth it even in cold or hot?

Hi all! I have a driver’s license from my home country but I do not have an IDP (I forgot to get one before I left). From my understanding, I would’ve needed to have it before I entered Thailand. Heads up for anyone going to thailand (or anywhere else) that needs a IDP (international driving permit) as in the uk the post office doesn’t issue them any more as from 1st April 2024,. You now have to get them from a “paypoint” place,. Google it,.
