My 2-year temporary Thai driver's license is due next year January, and as far as I can see, I can only renew for 5 years license 3 months before that.
I would like to get an IDP in Thailand. Did anyone do this while on temporary license? Or can you renew to 5 years license earlier?
I would like to travel in May and do a road trip abroad but my IDP has expired from my home country. The only way to get a new IDP from my home country is by going to the municipality there, the embassy cannot issue it. 😌
I'm from America and am planning to be in Thailand and drive from Bangkok to Phuket from 16th of December to 4th January and i would like to ask, if it's feasible to do the trip and still enjoy it.
How is the weather? Is the journey still worth it even in cold or hot?
Please come with other ideas, that could give us a better journey for my first visiting in Thailand. Anyone that can assist me can DM for more informations about Thailand.
Hi all! I have a driver’s license from my home country but I do not have an IDP (I forgot to get one before I left). From my understanding, I would’ve needed to have it before I entered Thailand. I saw a few posts stating you can drive without an IDP. Can someone share your experience with driving in Thailand. Is there another option if you don’t have an IDP? Thanks for your help! 😀
Hi folk, we will be moving to our house in Chiang Mai in January. I will be applying for a spouse visa for myself.
My question is actually about vehicle insurance, as we will be purchasing a car shortly after arriving. To purchase the car, it will obviously be in the bossladys name, however, she doesn't drive.
Will I be able to tax, and insure the vehicle on a first class policy despite the vehicle being registered to her ?
Hi, coming to Thailand for 2 month Oct - Dec spending a month in Pattaya, so looking for car rental to get out and about along the coastline any recommendations for good reliable car hire places. TIA 🚙🚕🚗
Heads up for anyone going to thailand (or anywhere else) that needs a IDP (international driving permit) as in the uk the post office doesn’t issue them any more as from 1st April 2024,. You now have to get them from a “paypoint” place,. Google it,.
Wife bought car, and want to share the the driving but the thing is I never took license in my own country since I enjoyed the bus or taxi more relaxing and more easy.
So my question is;
So can I take license in Thailand without owning it in my own country? Can anyone guide us?
