I jsut this week renewed my Retirement Visa for another full year, but trying to map out the Visa Status situation for my Filipina Girlfriend...
I am aware that Filipino Citizens are now allowed 60 day Visa Free Entry with another 30 Day extension for a total of 90 days stay.
Recently heard from an Immigration agent that the New Thai Gvt have also made a few adjustments in regards to the border crossings, so eventhough I recognize it is totally to the Border Control Officer's discretion and even if it is Not a written rule, the general concensus seemed to be 2 Visa Free Border Crossings per calendar year would not raise any concerns...
We will of course eventually have to look into a long term visa,
but in the meantime, I would appreciate some clarification on
<What is the number of Visa Runs allowed and if we enter by Land, how many days would a Filipino citizen be allowed on a Visa Free Entry?
Thanks in advance and Best Wishes for the upcoming holidays. 🏖
Are 60 day tourist visas now rendered obsolete for many folks, as they now have the option to come into the country on a stamp for the same amount of time? Is there any benefit to getting a tourist visa over a 60 day stamp? Are they still available for those qualifying citizens?
6**0 day visa exempt stamp JUST STARTED at the airports now
It's for air or land entry **
**IT IS OFFICIAL
**(and in case you're wondering if that top stamp is a russian entry it is NOT, it's from a Chinese passport, that's why they have the ผ.60-ม.17 before they used to get ผ.30-ม.17 but now it's ผ.60-ม.17 and it's why I posted a "NEW" ผ.60 stamp that didn't exist until they started this 60 day stamp dealy)
I need your advice....This year is my second year I come to Thailand on a Multiple Entry Tourist (MTV) visa. Last year when I arrived at the BKK airport I wasn't asked any questions in terms of why I'm visiting and what I'll do in Thailand for the duration of my visa. However, this is my second year to come to Bangkok and they asked me a lot of questions. Basically, WHY I come so often and WHAT I do here.
Has anyone recently experienced over questioning by the airport immigration officers and if they did what do you suggest I do next time because I have to re-enter in a few weeks and I don't want to be denied my entry even though my MTV will still be valid?
