TLDR : Answer Summary
Effective from October 1st, 2022 until March 31st, 2023, travelers who typically receive a 30-day visa exempt entry will now be granted a 45-day stamp upon entry. Additionally, travelers from 17 specific countries who usually purchase a 15-day visa on arrival for 2000 baht will now be eligible for a 30-day visa upon arrival. An official announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is expected to confirm this information.
And just like that, we are done, Good luck one and all, remember this is scheduled to start Oct 1st so a good ways off. When the official announcement comes out we'll post it

Great to read. π

Don't you mean 'visa exempt' rather than 'free' to use your terminology? π€π€ππ. Thanks for the good news update.
nope because people from 6 countries get in for free on a 30 day visa WAIVER and that's totally different than the people from 53 countries who get in on a 30 day visa exempt entry BUT they will get a 45 day stamp too come Oct 1st
That's why I said people who get in free for 30 days π
Have they give finished date to this 45 day extension I did hear somewhere it was only up till December after that it will return to normal but as I said that's only what I heard I can't confirm that.
The TAT proposed that the visa exempt entries could be extended once for 45 days as well BUT no one knows what the real wording will be as it seems they didn't buy into that part of the proposal.
