Have read through numerous posts and still can't comprehend the exact answer to my question.
1st extension of stay on a non o-a visa.... If I leave country and re enter during the 1st 12 months with new insurance giving effectively up to 23 months. When the extension is due can the 65,000 baht monthly international transfer be used, if I have that evidenced in Thai bank (UK citizen) or does 1st extension always need to be 800,000 seasoned funds method?
I am talking with a friend and he says that you pay 10,000 b per 180 day s ..I thought it was 10,000b for the entire 5 yrs ...not per visit..which one is correct?
If I come to Thailand on a package holiday say for 2 weeks, will I still get a stamp to stay 60 days (just incase I want to stay longer) coming from uk.
I am currently on a 30 day visa exempt stamp. I will need to extend it by 30 days. At Chaengwattana immigration how many days before it expires should you extend? Does Chaengwattana require TM 30 to extend? Thank you for the help.
We (retired Canadian couple living in Berlin) have been spending three-month sojourns in Thailand by means of 60-day tourist visas, a week in Cambodia or Laos, and then returning to Thailand on a 30-day exemption. This works for us, but I found a new kind of visa on the website of the Berlin Thai Embassy — Non-Immigrant O2. (At least new to me.)
It gives you a 90-day stay and the only difference from the Single Entry Tourist Visa if you’re over 50, seems to be a financial hoop you have to jump through and a fee of €70 rather than €35 for the tourist visa.
Am I missing something? Why isn’t this visa mentioned more often by seniors who want to stay longer than 2 months? Could this visa also be extended by an additional month at an Immigration office?
Hello! I had an VOA and after that a 30 days extension, so now I could be in Thailand till 13/2. Tomorrow I'll go to Laos for 10 days and after Laos I'll go to Vietnam. But I wanted to take a sleepertrain from Nong Khai (Thailand, just across the border with Laos) to Bangkok to take a flight to Vietnam. I was wondering if I'm allowed to get back in Thailand for the sleepertrain and get again a VOA?
90 day o visa, expires 3rd February for an Italian national staying in Nakhon Phanom, he needs another 3 months, what are his options? Does he need to travel to Vientiane? Thank you
