Hello! Can anyone advise if it’s better to apply for the DTV visa using my Taiwan passport rather than my U.S. passport, especially if I’m applying FROM Taiwan? I’ve been using my U.S. passport to travel in and out of Thailand, but I wonder if using my Taiwan passport might offer any advantages in this application process.
Hi guys! I entered Thailand with VISA-free with Taiwanese passport, I thought I can extend 30days but the immigration said they can only give me 7 days stamp due to my nationality, so I did not get it. And it will expire tomorrow.
I wonder if I do a one day border run from Chiangmai-Laos tmr, is it possible for me to get another 30days? ❗️
I'm from Taiwan and Taiwan passport is not entitled for visa exemption or waiver of Thailand. I need to apply for 60 days tourist visa in Taiwan for travelling to Thailand. Therefore, is it correct that I can't do boarder bounce and must leave Thailand and then get tourist visa to enter Thailand again ? Moreover, instead of returning to Taiwan, which nearby country's embassy can issue tourist visa for Taiwan passport ? Thanks
Visa overstay question My husband, a researcher with a major university in Bangkok, inadvertently violated his Ed visa by leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit, & is now on visa-on-arrival expiring December 26. (Taiwan passport.) The school is aware & now arranging a new Ed visa. My question: Would overstaying a few days & paying a fine until the new Ed visa is completed be a huge problem in the future as far as re-entering Thailand? We’re concerned that flying out now & re-entering with a new visa will require the school to start the whole Ed visa process over again. (He’s asked the school to hurry, but obviously it’s now Friday & his visa expires on Monday.) Thanks for any advice!
He has a passport from Taiwan and came on a 15 days Visa exempt but was extended for another 90 days (unsure what type of extension.
He lost his passport and wanted to apply an emergency passport from the local consulate after making a police report. He is planning to head home. He will be here ~50 days from his planned date of departure.
The question is:
Does immigration have a record of his extension. I'm afraid my friend might have to pay overstay fine due to the loss passport.
