Okay folks, strange question. I have 13 cats, live in America and want to retire there on retirement visa. I have a lot of time in Thailand, studied the language at a Thai temple in USA and love it there. I am 56, high income/assts, so no issues with getting the visa. The issue is my cats that I will not separate from. I do animal rescue and will be doing this until I die. The cats are all spayed/neutered, and just domestic breeds I rescued from death row at shelters, found on the street hurt, et cetera. Thank you in advance, Gary

Hi - applied in Singapore and got approved in 7 business days using Muay Thai soft power and unemployed.

19 Jan - Submit the online application as soon as I landed in Singapore.

> Proof of residence is ID card and bank statement

> Muay Thai I enrolled at Fitfac for their private course. They provided all relevant docs for DTV.

20 Jan - Status changed to pending doc review

21 Jan - Requested for full statement because I only provided summary pages and proof of Thai residence and which is my Thai girlfriend’s house including an invitation letter, her house registration, passport, and Thai ID card.

24 Jan - Status changed to pending approval

28 Jan - Approved right before CNY break

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I just arrived in Bkk today activating my DTV, went smooth, no questions asked.

Here’s what documents I submitted when applied:

- Photo (not older than 6 month)

- Passport

- proof of residence (of my apartment in Germany)

- freelance contract and permission letter to work from abroad (specifically stating Thailand too)

- 500k baht bank statement (money was transferred just before my application, no necessity for proof of 6 month in my bank account)

Applied in Frankfurt, Germany. Visa was approved after 9 days.

Hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hello everyone,

I’m thrilled to share that my DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) was approved today by the Hanoi embassy! It’s such a relief, and I’m still in awe that such a visa exists—it feels absolutely amazing. I applied as a remote worker, and this opens up so many exciting possibilities for me.

A huge thank you to everyone in this group for the invaluable information and support. It’s been incredibly helpful throughout this process.

Next on my list is finding a great place to live and opening a Thai bank account. A new chapter is beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. I wish the same success for all of you pursuing this visa!

If anyone has questions or needs advice, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help!

Does anyone know how long I need to have had £11k in my UK bank account when I apply for the DTV?

I've looked at the Thai Embassy's UK's website, but there is no specific information there pertaining to this question.

(I'll be applying for a soft power DTV - Muay Thai..).

Thanks
