Hi! If you are apply for DTV with spouse visa, can you use a joint bank account for proof of 500,000bht?

I think I understand it correctly that we need 500,000bht each? If so, could we submit with 1M bht in one joint account?

Thanks!

Hello. I was granted an extension of stay on my non o visa at Jomtiem in December, no dramas. Looking at my paperwork today, I noticed a comment from the IO that I should return on the 3 month anniversary date and show my bank passbook, to evidence that 800000 is still in my account. I haven't done this before, is it something I should do or not worry about doing? Thanks

Sharing my DTV approval experience as contribution to this group which helped a lot.

Workation (remote worker), Russian nationality. Provided all necessary bunch of documents combined in one PDF for every section, every PDF started with cover letter explains what and where there.

Applied in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on February 8th (Saturday).

On February 11th (Tuesday) was requested additional documents:

- Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter : Please arrange your document in order.

- Other request documents: Provide a company profile that includes details about its history, vision, mission, products, and achievements.

- Other request documents: Provide details about your current role, including your CV/portfolio, and any relevant documents. Additionally, if you have work examples or supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications, it's recommended to provide.

- Other request documents: Provide the salary slips for the past 6 months, please highlight them in your transaction records.

All documents were sent originally so at the same day I sent them again just in different order.

After that my application was on pending documents check status until yesterday, February 17th, it switched to pending approval.

Today, February 18th, the visa was approved. So after additional documents request it took 5 working days to issue the visa.

Would like to thank all who shared their experiences!

Im on a retirement visa here and had the 800,000 baht in my Thai bank. Recently read that 400,000 baht must be the lowest amount maintained in the bank account.

Is this correct as I am unable to see any detail of this for this visa?

What is the impact if the amount is below 400,000 baht?

Thanks.

I have a retirement visa. Had the 800,000 baht in my Thai bank. Building a home and it has gone below 400,000 baht.

My renewal is due in March 2026.

I have today transferred 400,000 baht to top up my Thai account.

Will there be any repercussions for letting it go below 400,000 baht?

I have searched and am unable to find any reference to maintaining a bank balance of 400,000 baht.

Thanks.

I am a 60- something in the US. I used to live in Roi-et, and am just starting to look into retiring there. I have a couple of basic questions: 1) from reading the info on the LA consulate page, I gather that if I have the 800k banked, I do not need to document monthly income. Correct? 2)since the bank account is required, this should mean I have to come to Thailand on the visa exemption first, then apply? and 3) if I were to start with a non-immigrant type O, can that be renewed or do I just start with O-A? Thank you for any information.

Hi All.

I am a British National applying in the UK for work vacation.

However the 500,000thb is in a locked away in my ISA, so I am going to go down the sponsorship method. My boyfriend also works in Thailand as a teacher.

I am confident in my portfolio and will still show my ISA statements for supporting evidence.

Any advice? Thankyou!
